CVC Saturday Purple Mar 24th 8:30 am Hidden Valley & PLUS & LOOPS
Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village  --  Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner)
Route:  Hidden Valley w/Plus options and Westlake LOOPS

Hi Purple Riders,

A Special Note!   Our Purple jersey girl, April, will lead Purple Loops around Westlake!!!  Purple Loops is for folks who don't feel they are up for a regular Purple ride.

Special Note #2!  The Great Race of Agoura will hinder our riding through Agoura (roads CLOSED!) and up Cornell!  See: http://greatraceofagoura.com/course/index.html

Get ready to ride this Saturday....since it looks like RAIN on Sunday!

Here is the PURPLE ride : http://ridewithgps.com/routes/436072
Be sure to print out a route slip if you are unfamiliar with the area.

There are many options for those who wish to go on a longer or shorter ride, so PURPLES PAIR UP like we've done the past few weeks - I think this is working out very well to meet individual needs for speed!

We will meet at Citibank (corner of Agoura Hills and Westlake), rolling out at 8:30 AM.

The
Purple ride is a beginner club ride with a 12-13 mph average pace but is open to all levels. No one gets dropped and no one is left behind. Please make sure to wear the appropriate riding attire. Please check your bike prior to Sunday and make any necessary repairs.

Although the Purple ride is a "no drop" ride, for the enjoyment and safety of the participants, we will keep a 12-14 MPH average.

If you feel you are not Purple ready, but want to work up to the Purple level, please contact the Ride Captain who will gladly give you some pointers and advise.  We strongly recommend that you come out and meet the riders!  The best stepping stone to grow into a Purple rider is to ride around Westlake!  When you can sweep those 5 flat miles at a steady 12 to 14 mph pace, and still feel ready for more, then you will be able to handle many of the standard Purple routes.

Things you need for every ride:
  • Helmet-Mandatory
  • Water or Sports Drink
  • I.D.
  • Cell phone
  • Spare tube
  • CO2 cartridge or hand pump
  • Patch kit
  • Route slip

Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
