The weather forecast as of now for this Saturday doesn't look too promising for a dry riding day.
As a consequence, Kent and your Club Ride Leaders have decided to forego an Away Ride in Santa Clarita for this Sat.
(This Saturday is also the "Tour de Foothills" century ride in Upland, CA )
For this week's Red Ride, if our Club's "Inclement Weather Policy" isn't in effect on Saturday morning,
(actively raining or wet roads with threatening clouds) let's ride in the Somis -Balcom Canyon direction
as that gives us the most bail-out, ride shortening options should the weather turn wet mid-ride.
Saturday, 11-12-11 8:30am Westlake Village: Westlake-Hidden Valley-Somis-Balcom-Grimes Canyon
(Westlake Citibank Parking lot - NE Corner Westlake Blvd. & Agoura/Hampshire Rd.'s)
Around WL Lake - out through Hidden Valley to the CSCI driveway for 1st re-group.
Decide from there who wants to ride with whom for suggested ride route options:
1) Through the College streets to Lewis Rd. - Pleasant Valley Rd. - Santa Rosa Rd.
Through town of Somis - to LA Ave. - Bradley Rd. - Balcom Canyon to town of Moorpark
OR.....
2) Ride over to and down Balcom Canyon - across Barnsdale - TO: UP Grimes Canyon
then ride down Grimes Canyon Rd. South back to Broadway/Walnut Canyon Rd. to town of Moorpark

R Spring St. (south)
L on Tierra Rejada
R on Moorpark Rd.
L on Read Rd - through housing development to bypass
R Olsen Rd.
L on Sunset Hills to Erbes Rd.
or...
L on Pederson to Erbes Rd.
Then down to Hillcrest Dr. and back to WLV
or...
L Avenida de los Arboles
R Westlake Blvd.
L Thousand Oaks Blvd.
R Lakeview Canyon Rd.
R Agoura Rd. - back to start
