Assuming that it WON'T rain on Sat. AM ( see inclement weather policy* - below)
Weather Underground "wunderground.com" says 100% Rain for Friday & Sat. though.
 
Here is the Orange ride announcement......
 
CVC ORANGE Riders: 
Note a few NEW things this week: (change can be good)
1) This is the 1st Sat. of the month and it's the "wear your club colors" Saturday
2) Jerry Scott & I are leading the Orange ride this week
2) Cam Young is planning on riding with us along with some of his Gold riders who are
     interested in trying out an Orange Ride ( AKA: a "bridge ride")
 
8:30am: Citibank/Sprouts Parking lot - Westlake Village
   ( NE Corner: Westlake Blvd. & Agoura/Hampshire Rd.s) 
 
RIDE ROUTE: Agoura Rd.-Malibou Lake-Mulholland Hwy-King Gillette Ranch
Piuma-Stunt Rd.-Mulholland-Malibou Lake-Westlake Lake Loop back to start.

43.8 miles
5,715' climbing (as calculated by RWGPS which is always a little higher than actual)

Significant climbs on this route:
    Piuma = 2X the Rock Store Climb in distance & overall climbing feet
    Schueren to Stunt
    Mulholland Hwy from Las Virgenes to Malibou Lake

Re-Group spots:
1)  King Gillette Ranch ( water, restrooms)
2)  Top of Piuma ( on North side with LA overview)  
3)  Top of Stunt Rd. ( Option: ride up Saddle Peak overlook & back: 3-4 miles?)
        - if it's clear, this is a great place to see: Santa Monica, Century City & downtown LA
4)  Stunt Rd. - concrete driveway ( water)
5)  Mulholland Hwy at Cornell Rd. ( near Malibou Lake)  
6) Westlake: Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for coffee/tea/snacks/restrooms 
            or... Natural Cafe' for lunch food items  
 
The ORANGE RIDE definition from the CVC website "cvcbike.org" :
Advance intermediate level of riding: 40+ Miles at 13-15+ overall MPH avg.
Average to above average amount of hill climbing (typically 2-3 overall climbs)
 Regular regroups/ stops along the way

*Inclement weather policy : If it is actively raining or threatening rain and the roads are wet,
the official announced club ride is cancelled. Those club members who ride in these conditons
 do so at their own discretion, however their ride is not to be considered as an official club ride.
