CVC WEEKLY PREVIEW
and
 RACE TEAM NEWS
Plus Upcoming Club Info

March 22-27

Hi all!

Spring has sprung!  Even tho it looks like cool overcast weather this weekend, it should be great for riding.  Hope to see you out there!

Before we get to the routes, here's some..........

-CLUB NEWS-

CVC Members Meeting

Wednesday, March 26th, 7:00 PM
Location:  Westlake Village Library, 31220 Oak Crest Dr. (Corner of Agoura Rd.& Oak Crest)
This is our first meeting of the year. Along with discussing club business, we will have guest speaker, Gary C. Brustin, a cyclist attorney.  Gary's philosophy is simple and parallels virtually every Vehicle Code in the country...."Bicyclists have the same rights and responsibilities as motor vehicles."
Cruisin is Coming!

Spend a few hours as a volunteer for the premier event of the west coast.  Hundreds of cyclists ride this event, and it's up to us to be the great hosts of this huge undertaking. This is the only time that the club is asking for your help.  It's also part of what we do as part of the cycling family, helping other cyclists with their endeavors.  You'll be surprised at how much fun it can be "paying it forward".

Go to: VolunteerSpot: http://vols.pt/gDuoVi  and sign up.

SAFE CYCLING TIP OF THE WEEK:
Keep your eyes peeled for road debris and point it out to those behind you.  It doesn't take much to puncture a tire or worse yet, cause a rider to go flying over the handlebars.    Don't get so lost in the views or conversation that your eyes are not seeing what's up ahead.  We want you home safe!

-TEAM NEWS-

This Sunday the team will be in Ontario for the Spring Classic GP race.  They have all been training hard for this so stay tuned next week to hear about their successes.  Best of luck to them all!

That’s all for now, folks.  Have a great week!

Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.

Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Blvd. (between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere.
