WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENT
Hey CVC,
The weather is forecast to be warm this weekend, with Sunday getting into the 90s. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.
On Saturday, we have four rides going. The Red Group will do Hidden Valley to the beach and back up Decker and Lil Sycamore. The Orange Group is going up Westlake and over Kanan to Calabasas and 7-minute Hill. The Gold Ride is headed for couple loops around Moorpark and Simi. And our new Purple ride is going to Wildwood Park and around Thousand Oaks.
Sunday the Red group is doing Carlisle Canyon, Hidden Valley and a Dos Vientos loop. The GO ride is going up Mulholland to Malibu Lake and to the Fire Station on Piuma, then back. The Social ride is headed for Hidden Valley and a return over Lynn and Green Meadow.
We've also got midweek rides Tuesday and Thursday, including the Rock Store race ride Tuesday night and cruise rides Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
We are enjoying a lot of new pavement out there, but road debris remains a big problem. Please warn riders behind you of everything in the bike lanes! You are their eyes when you are on the front.
We now have Purple rides every Saturday and official Newcomers Ride classes and rides on the first Saturday of every month.
Let me know if I can help with anything bike or ride-related. I always have extra gear, supplies and my toolbox, pump, etc.
And let's ride!

ADDITIONAL NOTES
The Purple ride is considered a no drop. Having said that, please note that if you are falling behind or slower than the average pace, you may be dropped. All rides not asterisked are considered a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). If you get to a regrouping spot and no one is there, consider yourself dropped.  As always, we will try to stick together and have a fun, safe ride. We will regroup regularly to allow everyone a chance to ride together.

If for any reason you leave a group ride, please pass along the information to the ride leader.

Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
