August 1-August 6

"Where are we going?".....
Well, contained below are the links to the rides.  You can print out a cue sheet or download a file to your bike computer.  No computer?  Cue sheet too cumbersome?  Then make a cheat sheet for the areas you are not familiar with and tape it to your stem or handlebar.  Pros do this and it seems to work for them.   So, click on a link,  view the map,  learn it, love it, ride it.

Beach 'n Bikes Ride-Saturday, August 8
One of CVC's favorite away ride!  Starting from Sycamore Cove we will ride along the ocean and climb into the canyons, ending with descents back to the ocean breezes rather than a hot asphalt parking lot.  Afterwards we can stick around for club supplied sodas and snacks on the beach.  Bring your board shorts and frisbees, tell the family to meet up,  and have some post-ride surf side fun!

Please make sure all levels have sweepers.  Everyone can alternate and share the job.

Go Thursday Ride-5:30pm
Starting locations and routes vary, so check your emails during the week.
This is an intermediate level ride that starts and ends at local watering holes, so you can finish up with some food, refreshments, and socializing with your cycling friends.

Please remember when parking at The Landing for any weekend morning rides to park and congregate towards the far end of the lot away from the street and use the middle row.  Do not park next to the homes.

** This is considered a "no drop" ride.  The ride leader will keep an eye on everyone. No one is left behind.

All rides not asterisked are considered a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). If you get to a regrouping spot and no one is there, consider yourself dropped.  As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly to allow everyone a chance to ride together.

If for any reason you leave a group ride, please pass along the information to the ride leader.

It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition (check expiration on helmet inner tag) and that your bike is in working condition as well.

That’s all for now, folks.  Have a great week!
