CVC Saturday Purple Ride 12/17 8:30am De Anza Park
CVC Saturday Purple Ride - Saturday Dec 17th 8:30am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: De Anza Park and back Hi Purple Riders, I don't know if I can make it this weekend so I've put out a call for someone to help lead. So, ride nicely, and stay together, so everyone has fun! :-) This week the ride is to De Anza Park and back. Below is a link to the Ride With GPS website that will show you the route. Be sure to print out a route slip if you are unfamiliar with the area. The ride is 21.2miles, staying mostly on Agoura Road. Here is the link: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/360514 ***I see an "error" on the map at Kanan Road - that "loop" is not part of our regular route, so skip that and just stay on Agoura Road going and coming back.*** To see Frequently Asked Questions regarding the Purple Ride, click here: http://www.cvcbike.org/?p=3127 The purple ride is a beginner club ride with a 12-13 mph average pace but is open to all levels. No one gets dropped and no one is left behind. Please make sure to wear the appropriate riding attire. Please check your bike prior to Sunday and make any necessary repairs. We can meet up with everyone afterward for some refreshments on the patio at the Natural Cafe' or other restaurant. See you Saturday! Things you need for every ride: Helmet-MandatoryWater or Sports DrinkI.D.Cell phoneSpare tubeCO2 cartridge or hand pumpPatch kitRoute slip Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. Beth McElhenny, CVC Purple Ride Leader 818-207-3186
I found a corrected map!!! ALSO: This one is 16.5 miles because it doesn't have the loop around the Lake. http://ridewithgps.com/routes/702148 --- On Wed, 12/14/11, Beth McElhenny <bmcelhenny@yahoo.com> wrote: From: Beth McElhenny <bmcelhenny@yahoo.com> Subject: [cvc announce] CVC Saturday Purple Ride 12/17 8:30am De Anza Park To: "Beth McElhenny" <bmcelhenny@yahoo.com> Cc: "CVC announcements" <announce@mail.cvcbike.org> Date: Wednesday, December 14, 2011, 4:49 PM CVC Saturday Purple Ride - Saturday Dec 17th 8:30am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: De Anza Park and back Hi Purple Riders, I don't know if I can make it this weekend so I've put out a call for someone to help lead.
