Conejo Valley Cyclists Recap For The Week Starting 4-16-12
Hi CVC'rs, There are all kinds of cycling enjoyment to be had these days. This Saturday is the Santa Clarita Century, and I know we have a few CVCr’s riding. We also have a ton of rides that have kicked into gear since the time change, such as the Tuesday and Thursday road rides, Jan’s picnic ride, the Tuesday Mountain Bike Ride which now has both novice rides led by Lee Cole and the more advanced ride with me, Sheri’s Landing ride and all of the usual weekend offerings. If you have been wanting to get out on the trail with us and are looking to build those MTB skills or want to gain some more experience, CORBA is having their once a month free mountain bike skills seminar this Saturday at Malibu Creek State park. See link for more info. http://corbamtb.com/programs/skills.shtml Reminder: Cruisin’ the Conejo is fast approaching on May 5th and we are still looking for volunteers. We will need help on both Friday late afternoon and all day Saturday. Contact Sheri Leiken, our Volunteer Coordinator, to get involved at: ohsheri2005@sbcglobal.net. Keep in mind that with the new Ride Team Format, you will still see the rides posted by the individual Captains, and lead by the Ride Captain *or* another Ride Team Leader. *Everyone is invited and encouraged to take part in leading and assisting the rides, just contact the ride Captain and they will tell you all you need to know.* Below is a re-cap of the rides this weekend and next week.
