CVC RIDE PREVIEW August 28-September 3 -RIDE START TIME CHANGE- Saturday rides are now starting at 7:30am, Sunday at 8am. This change will be in effect until the Fall. There may be folks who wish to start at a later time for an informal non-club ride, check your emails during the week. -COMING UP- Monthly Away Ride Saturday, September 12 A coastal Santa Barbara ride starting in Summerland. Free parking and a couple of great places to finish off with food and refreshments. We did this ride last year, (thank you John Caffrey) and everyone had a good time. -THE WEEKLY RIDES- Remember to ride single file, or two by two, not massed all over the place! This not only ensures safety but makes for a good looking group of cyclists. It is the individual cyclist’s responsibility to know the route, either by printed out route slip, or downloaded to their GPS. This is an intermediate level ride that starts and ends at local watering holes, so you can finish up with some food, refreshments, and socializing with your cycling friends. --------------------------------- Please remember when parking at The Landing for any weekend morning rides to park and congregate towards the far end of the lot away from the street and use the middle row. Do not park next to the homes. ** This is considered a "no drop" ride. The ride leader will keep an eye on everyone. No one is left behind. All rides not asterisked are considered a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). If you get to a regrouping spot and no one is there, consider yourself dropped. As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly to allow everyone a chance to ride together. If for any reason you leave a group ride, please pass along the information to the ride leader. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition (check expiration on helmet inner tag) and that your bike is in working condition as well. That’s all for now, folks.
