CVC Saturday Purple Ride May 26th 8:30 AM Lobo Canyon (aka Petting Zoo) Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot:  Westlake Blvd & Agoura Road (North East Corner)   Route:  Lobo Canyon (aka Petting Zoo)   Hi Purple Riders,   ***SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT***  JUNE 16th many CVC'ers are going on the "Honor Ride" (including me!).  This is a special non-profit that provides wounded veterans with special bicycles and was featured on ABC Nightly News and CBS Early Show!   Please consider coming out for this special ride as there are supported rest-stops, LUNCH & a t-shirt being included for this event!    (There is a 50% off link on our FB group page for Conejo Valley Cyclists = only $25 for a LIMITED TIME!  Includes SAG, LUNCH, & t-shirt!)  **********Look for familiar faces at the supported rest-stops - some of our CVC members will be volunteering there, too!!!************ This Saturday the Purples are scheduled for the "Petting Zoo" route.  As usual, there will be an extra loop around Westlake at the end for those who would like and extra 5 flat miles.  Here is a link to the Ride With GPS website that will show you the route. Be sure to print out a route slip if you are unfamiliar with the area. No one gets dropped and no one is left behind. Please make sure to wear the appropriate riding attire. Please check your bike prior to Saturday and make any necessary repairs. Although the Purple ride is a "no drop" ride, for the enjoyment and safety of the participants, we will keep a 12-14 MPH average. If you feel you are not Purple ready, but want to work up to the Purple level, please contact the Ride Captain who will gladly give you some pointers and advise.
