CVC Club Ride Recap for Week of 5-10-13 through 5-17-13 Hi CVC'rs, As many of you are aware Saturday May 11th is our annual Cruisin; the Conejo, charity family fun ride and there will not be any schedule rides. However, everyone is encourage to participate and contribute their time in order to make this year;s Cruisin' then most successful. With Kent K Wednesday afternoon Landing Ride! This ride meets at 3:45 at the Landing Parking lot at end of Lindero (same place as shops). we will be at end closest to the street. We try to ride as far as we can, but it's usually about 25 miles due to daylight. Inclement Weather Policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route is wet it is our club’s policy to cancel scheduled club ride. Should club members choose to meet and ride in inclement conditions the ride will not be considered an official club ride. Upcoming Events: Conejo Valley Cyclists Classic Bicycle Ride, July 21th, 2013 CVC Sunday Vintage/Classic Bike Ride -- Sunday, July 21th, 9:00AM Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) for announcements; promptly at 9:00 AM, then split into our groups to depart. Route: Hidden Valley, Lake Sherwood, Westlake. We have planned a relaxed paced ride through the "Tuscany" of Southern California, playground of the rich and famous, and enjoy experience approximately 22 miles of scenic beauty. After the ride we will relax at the new Stonehaus Café (www.the-stonehaus.com). Coffee, Pastries, Panini and Charcuterie are offered and wine tasting is available. Think of the event as a mini L’Eroica. The Ride: The ride starts at 9AM from the Citi Bank Parking lot (plenty of free parking) located at the corner of Westlake and Agoura Blvds. in Westlake Village. If you do not have a classic bike but would like to ride with us you are welcome to participate. One must wear a helmet in order to participate and, if you are not a CVC club member, you must sign a release.
