To see Frequently Asked Questions regarding the Purple Ride, click here: http://www.cvcbike.org/?p=3127 The Purple ride is a beginner club ride with a 12-13 mph average pace but is open to all levels. No one gets dropped and no one is left behind. Please make sure to wear the appropriate riding attire. Please check your bike prior to Sunday and make any necessary repairs. Although the Purple ride is a "no drop" ride, for the enjoyment and safety of the participants, we will keep a 12-14 MPH average. If you feel you are not Purple ready, but want to work up to the Purple level, please contact the Ride Captain who will gladly give you some pointers and advise. We strongly recommend that you come out and meet the riders! The best stepping stone to grow into a Purple rider is to ride around Westlake! When you can sweep those 5 flat miles at a steady 12 to 14 mph pace, and still feel ready for more, then you will be able to handle many of the standard Purple routes. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. Above all, let's have Fun!! Beth McElhenny 818-207-3186
