CVC Sunday Purple Ride 8/12 9:00 North Ranch, Agoura and Westlake Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village. Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Greetings CVC Purple riders, friends and family!!! SHORT ride since Saturday will be a ~HOT~ one! Please bring LOTS of ~WATER~!!! This Sunday August 12th Purple Ride will be riding up Westlake through North Ranchm over to Agoura and around Westlake.  Route it is approximately 20.5 miles with the option to include Hidden Valley. No one gets dropped and no one is left behind. Please make sure to wear the appropriate riding attire. Please check your bike prior to Sunday and make any necessary repairs. Although the Purple ride is a "no drop" ride, for the enjoyment and safety of the participants, we will keep a 12-14 MPH average. If you feel you are not Purple ready, but want to work up to the Purple level, please contact the Ride Captain who will gladly give you some pointers and advise. We strongly recommend that you come out and meet the riders! The best stepping stone to grow into a Purple rider is to ride around Westlake! When you can sweep those 5 flat miles at a steady 12 to 14 mph pace, and still feel ready for more, then you will be able to handle many of the standard Purple routes. Things you need for every ride: * Helmet-Mandatory * Water or Sports Drink * I.D. * Cell phone * Spare tube * CO2 cartridge or hand pump * Patch kit * Route slip Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride.
