All, * I wanted to remind you all that we are having our Ride Committee meeting this Wednesday night. This is one of the most important club related meetings of the year since it is the meeting that decides which rides will go on, and which rides will have to be suspended or cancelled. There are a few rides that need ride Captains in order to continue. Saturday and Sunday Purple, and the Saturday Orange. If we cannot fill these positions, those 3 rides will be suspended beginning August 31st. * *That would be a shame, so please come out and get involved with this great club!* * * *See the re-post below for more info.* Hi CVC'ers: As you've heard me announce over the past week or so .... We are asking for your participation in improving and organizing our group club rides by your attendance and involvement at the following club meeting: *CVC Ride Committee Meeting: Wednesday, 8-14-13 7:00pm * * Westlake Community Room ( Westlake City Hall area- by Library) * * 31200 Oak Crest Dr., Westlake Village * * Snacks & refreshments will be served * The subjects of the meeting will be : 1) Establishing persons & defining roles for : Ride Captain: one person for each colored ride - who will then co-ordinate the : - Ride Leaders: members from each group that take turns creating & leading rides 2) Away Rides: Tweak current routes and create new routes and leaders for various colored rides 3) Explanation for the use of our current club database of established rides from the "Ride with GPS" computer database (RWGPS) 4) Safety Issues and community goodwill With your generous and enthusiastic support, we can keep club rides a valuable and important benefit of our club membership.
