CVC Saturday Orange Level Ride -- Saturday March 10th 8:30 AM Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Potrero to Hueneme to Naval Air Rd (this road is not on the Que Sheet) to PCH Returning on Mulholland. additional mileages add lake laps. Weather forecast is for 74 Deg., at the start the temperature should be in the low 50 Deg. Hi Everyone,On Saturday March 10th. starting at 8:30 AM we are riding through Potrero to PCH and Returning on Mulholland. First re-group at Chanel Island University, Next re-group at Sycamore Beach for Rest Rooms and water. Last restrooms and water before the climb ar Leo Carrillo Beach. Please be careful descending Potrero and do not pass on the decent turns. Please use the restroom before departing or at Fire Station 33. Make sure to have water before climbing Mulholland at Leo. As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 8:30AM then splitting into our groups and departing. The Orange Ride is an Intermediate/advanced recreational ride, 40-60 miles in length and averaging 17 mph.It is mandatory to have and ware a helmet and it is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is valid (check expiration on helmet inner tag, usually good for five years) and in good working condition. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe ride. Things to have: Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop. Tools to perform minor repairs. Chain repair linkage. Inner-tube and inflated device. Cellular phone. Food to replenish energy. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ridein these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East CoastBagel, Sprouts Market, etc.. Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market.
