Sorry for my previous Red Ride announcement for the 24thI had forgotten that Kent announced our popular ELKS CLUB BBQ ride for next Saturday so it would be better to ride a shorter route and be back by 11:00am or so Here was last year's BBQ ride route - for your consideration........ Hi CVC'ers: As Kent previously advertised, this Saturday is our all ride color, Thous. Oaks Elks Lodge BBQ ride We'll start our ride from our regular Westlake Citibank Parking lot start location and ride a loop similiar to our Cruisin' the Conejo 35 mile route so that we can be back by 11:00 - 11:30am for the BBQ which is the time we told them we'd arrive. Start: 8:30am Citibank parking lot (NE corner Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Rd.) Ride out of parking lot to the North R Townsgate Rd. L Lakeview Canyon L Thousand Oaks Blvd. R Westlake Blvd. R Kanan Rd. R Thousand Oaks Blvd. L Lakeview Canyon - (cross FRWY) R Lindero Canyon (by St. Jude's Church) R Triunfo Canyon Rd. ( by Tennis Club) L Westlake Blvd. R Potrero Rd. L Lake Sherwood Dr. re-group at Lake Sherwood Fire Station Continue on Potrero Rd. through Hidden Valley R Reino Rd. L Lynn Rd. R Via Las Brisas R Borchard Rd. ( or Reverse direction for more challenging route: Reino - L Borchard-L Via las Brisas - L Lynn back to Reino to Lynn Rd. East on Lynn Rd. R Greenmeadow Ave. climb up multi-use path by golf course Re-group at bathrooms Continue on Green Meadow Ave. L Moorpark Rd. R Rolling Oaks Dr. L Rancho Rd. R Hillcrest Dr. R Conejo School Rd. ( say "Hi" to the Elks ) L Willow Lane R Hampshire Rd. L Westlake Blvd. back to parking lot Get in cars and drive to Elks Lodge on Conejo School Rd. Chow Down!
