** Major construction started today on Rockstore. Heavy equipment will be in the area near the rock overhang. Work will take a few months. They will be there from 7AM to 3 PM from Mondays to Saturdays (in the beginning, then only weekdays). Traffic will be slowed down. PLEASE be aware, be respectful and be careful. They will accomodate cyclists unless we misbehave. Also, Mulholland from Leo Carrillo to Little Sycamore is now officially open to all traffic. ** My thoughts on it… ** And the key take away from this is that we will be able to ride Rockstore if we are respectful to the construction teams. There’s going to be those few that act like idiots, the rest of us need to go above and beyond the call of duty (we CVC members )so that we can enjoy RS without interruption. We are all going to have to come to terms that Rockstore can’t stay closed forever, but if we play our cards right we will have it back like we did before and not lose it for months on end while it is being repaired….
