CVC, I am happy to announce that Jerry Scott has officially accepted the position of your new Ride Director. Jerry brings a great deal of experience to CVC Ride Directorship. He comes with a history of leading rides of all levels and was our Red Ride Leader and Orange Ride Leader, for many years. He has also led social, gold, the "unofficial" weekly Rock Store ride... Jerry has completed over 70 centuries.... and 30 double metrics.... A Beast for sure! He is traffic and safety conscious and has shown dedication to our club for a very long time. I am confident that Jerry will do an outstanding job. We'd also like to welcome Denise Casaro to the board as a Social Director, and Greg Jensen as Community Cycling Advocacy Director. On behalf of CVC, Greg will attend our local community meetings to help ensure safety progress on our local roads. The City of Thousand Oaks has an Active Transportation Plan that maps out streets, recent improvements, and future improvements for sidewalks, bike lanes, and bike routes throughout the City. Stay tuned for information from Greg on this. Congratulations to these dedicated volunteers. I am so thrilled to have their leadership skills involved with Conejo Valley Cyclists. -- Sheri Leiken CVC President
