Cruisin’ the Conejo friends,
Come out on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 and be part of the 3rd annual Conejo Valley Cyclists Picnic Ride & Benefit . Formerly known as Cruisin’ the Conejo, the “Picnic Ride” is a different, smaller, and more organic charity event but, still has the same large goals of Cruisin’: GIVING BACK! , enjoying the sport we love, and sharing the roads with each other while embracing the beautiful scenery of the Conejo Valley and beyond.
The GIVING BACK Part: This year's event will support these great charities. Click on each of their names to learn more about what they are doing in the local community and then SIGN UP! The Mike Nosco Foundation uses its annual charity ride to to provide financial relief to families and/or individuals who are confronting a life threatening illness, many of whom live in the Conejo Valley or a part of the cycling community. Conejo Open Space Foundation is using its resources to help restore many of the trails and out houses destroyed by the the Hill fire, Woosley fire, and the spring rains. Santa Monica Mountain Foundation Nearly 90% of the Santa Monica Mountains National Park land has burned during the Woosley Fire, including many beloved trails, structures, and landmarks like the Hollywood famous Western Town at Paramount Ranch, site of movies and TV shows like Planet of the Apes, CBS’s Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, and most recently HBO’s Westworld. This smaller limited participation event (only 200 riders) removes many of the expenses that were unavoidable and rising each year with Cruisin’ the Conejo. Fewer expenses translates into a higher percentage of each participant’s registration fee being freed up to go directly to the three (3) incredible local charitable organizations we are looking to support with this year’s event. This more intimate and social event will have many of the trade mark Cruisin’ characteristics… Rides begin at 8:00 am, 8:30 am, & 9:00 am. Three (3) scenic routes of 25, 50, and 75 miles Supported regroup stops SAG support Post-ride Picnic lunch from a gourmet food truck Party atmosphere with music, silent auction, and more! Ready to register? CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
Here are some things you need to know about the ride… Event Limit: 200 Riders (less than 100 remain) A $80 minimum donation allows us to cover expenses for the ride and still be able to donate to every organization ($70 event fee + $10 associate members’ fee) Extra lunch tickets are available for purchase through the registration link: $15/adults $10/children under 12.
