CVC Ride Announcement, Week of July 7 - July 14
Hey CVCers, The weather looks cooler this weekend, with a little wind though, so watch for cross winds and gusts. And it's July so drink plenty and keep your bottles topped off. On Saturday, we are doing the away ride in Santa Barbara/Summerland. We will have two routes, including one up Gibraltar and one that runs at a more leisure pace over Foothill and through the rolling hills. Gary will also be leading an Orange/GO ride locally from the Landing over Westlake to the beach and back via Latigo(or a shorter Dos Vientos loop). Sunday the red group is headed for Grimes Canyon and the GO ride is going over Potrero to Camarillo and return up Santa Rosa, or you can do the Social ride up to Malibu Lake. Midweek rides are available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, including the Rock Store race ride Tuesday night, cruise rides Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and mountain biking on Thursday afternoon. We are planning a Newcomers Ride to begin soon. Keep your eye out for more info and contact me if you have any input. Please be extra careful and wary of road debris. Look out for each other so we can avoid possible accidents. Let me know if I can help with anything bike or ride-related. I always have extra Clif bars, equipment and my toolbox, pump, etc. And let's ride!
