Hey CVC, A few things.... First, I want to send out a "Thank You" to member Carlos Navarrette who supplied drinks to the orange riders at the overlook top of Stunt Saturday. This was well appreciated during this heat. Second, another thankful member mentioned to me that this would be a really good ambassador move for CVC to do for everyone. CVC has a pop up tent and flags, and wouldn't it be cool if 1-2 of our members would hang out at the top of Stunt in the shade, and give cold drinks to riders. Not just CVC riders, but other riders as well! We could run several of our routes through this on a specific day! CVC could share with other riders!!!!! I Loved this idea! Is there anyone out there that would be interested in volunteering to do this on a Saturday? It does not have to be "tomorrow" but in the next month or two. Just pop me an email. CVC can supply the goods, and what good karma we could give to the cycling community! Let me know if you can help out with this. Next, I want to let you all know that we had about 30 people at Mike's Pub ride. Mike generously fed that entire hungry and thirsty group and it was very appreciated! Now payback time... Out of those 30 or so people we need 6 of you! We have 6 vacant leading positions for the pub ride!!! 6 out of the 30 that were there. It is YOUR turn to give back! Pub rides are easy, (kind of)! You pick the "pub", reserve a spot for us....Greg will even help you make a route, and we go!!!!Let's help in the fun! Please let me, Greg, or Denise know if you can help out. Last, I would like to mention two "safety" issues. It has been brought to our attention more than a few times that our riders are riding, or taking off 4-5 wide. Please be conscious of this. It makes us look really bad! Save the chit chat until you can speak louder. We need to ride safely, at the most 2x2. We should not be more than that. Sometimes, we will be single. And my last issue..... please look at, and download, or print your routes. Be familiar where you are going. Ride leaders do their best but they cannot provide individual attention. -- Sheri
