Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner)

 

Route: Agoura, Right on Lindero Cyn. around the lake, Left on Westlake to Potrero, first re-group at Channel Island University, Right on Lewis to Pleasant Valley, next re-group at McDonald's, then through Somis to Moorpark and back: shorter rider return on Santa Rosa Road, The main ride will ride the Bradley, Stockton, Broadway return route.

Hi Everyone,

In an attempt to avoid busy mountain roads due to the Mulholland Challenge, On Saturday April 14th. starting at 8:30 AM we are riding down Potrero to Lewis returning through Somis to Moorpark.. Those wanting a shorter route can return on Santa Rosa Road.

McDonald’s at Plesant Valley/Santa Rosa North of the 101 FWY. Restroom and Water

Stockton left turn:

McDonald's at the N.E corner of Los Angeles and . Restroom and Water. .

As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 8:30AM then splitting into our groups and departing.

The Orange Ride is an Intermediate/advanced recreational ride, 40-60 miles in length and averaging 17 mph. It is mandatory to have and ware a helmet and it is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is valid (check expiration on helmet inner tag, usually good for five years) and in good working condition. It is not a "no drop
ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun, safe ride.

 

Things to have:

Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop.

Tools to perform minor repairs.

Chain repair linkage.

Inner-tube and inflated device.

Cellular phone.

Food to replenish energy.


Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.

After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc..


Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere.
