Hi Everyone, On Saturday June 23rd. starting at 8:30 AM is the local ride which is similar to last week’s ride, we are riding Mulholland towards Topanga after stopping at San Juan Bautista De Anza, up Topanga, returning on old Topanga then through the Calabasas area. We are riding to San Juan Bautista De Anza for the first re-group then we are making a single file right on Las Virgenes to a Left on Mulholland and a right on Topanga. No passing on the descent unless on a straight after notifying the rider in front and absolutely no passing on any turns. Turning right on Old Topanga which turns in to Sienna returning through Calabasas on Mureau Road. Reference detailed map and route slip below for details: Please use the restroom before departing. The guard building across from 7Min Hill for water. Top of Topanga Canyon climb for water. Old Topanga and Mulholland to make sure we have everyone. McDonald’s at Las Virgenes and Agoura for R/R and water. As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 8:30AM then splitting into our groups and departing. The Orange Ride is an Intermediate/advanced recreational ride, 40-60 miles in length.It is mandatory to have and ware a helmet and it is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is valid (check expiration on helmet inner tag, usually good for five years) and in good working condition. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun, safe ride. Things to have: Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop. Tools to perform minor repairs. Chain repair linkage. Inner-tube and inflated device. Cellular phone. Food to replenish energy. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the rideroute has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc.. Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market.
