I want to send out a HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in the CVC Picnic & Benefit Ride. I know you there are many choices, and I am honored to ride and to be associated with all of you who supported the Conejo Valley Cyclists by giving your time, your financial and tangible donations, and your help to enable CVC to make our community a better place. 

What a great team we all are! The benefit was a huge success and the picnic, well, that was just flat out fun. Let's not forget the ride... We ordered no rain, and got a perfect day. Sure a few degrees less would be great, but we will take it. Made the beer and margaritas alot more refreshing! A Perfect Day!

I want to give a shout out to so many people, and how lucky I feel to say that! When you see them, please let them know your appreciation.

Our rest stop workers who gave up their day of riding OR did it for their dedication... Ali, Lou, Connie, Jeannie and Ursula.... and let's not forget those wonderful kids! Zoe and Zeke.

And for our generous donations from our own club members, David Stumph, Brad Hughes, Paul Sterngold, Jim Doane,  and Justin Kopiki for the amazing belt buckle, Harlene Roen for the beautiful Wine Blanket, Amy Patton's Mom MO for the adorable slipper basket,  And for making these baskets so appealing with all the extras including your sipping pleasure, and getting them out there,  please give a shout out Lisa Gutman, Kay Fields, and Susan Ashby! And thank you to the Korcheks for the much needed Margarita Making!

To Sherrie F. for her editing, to Connie V. to help in the morning with sign ins... to Alfonso, David, and Jeremy..and to all of you who helped with clean up, and to those who signed up and couldn't ride... you rock!

Last, to my hubby...Kent... we made it another year.... woohoo! As hard as it is to work together, being together makes it so much more fun. Thanks for your endless hours and always responding to my honey-do lists and thinking of everything, from PA systems, to permits and reservations, and especially the little things like getting up at 5 to put signs on the last part of the route. 

As honored as I am to do this fundraising and social planning, I feel this is a good time for me to work with anyone else who would like to take this event over.  I have had 10 years on the CVC Benefit event circuit  (Cruisin) and I feel retirement is approaching. 

It takes a team, so thanks CVC Team!
