Notice to all bicyclists,

Caltrans has a major, two-year project planned to replace the bridge/overpass at the south end of the Rincon Highway.

This is obviously a very important connection for bicyclists traveling along the coast.  Drivers and Rincon residents can hop on Highway 101 and exit at Seacliff (near the Rincon Fire Station) to access the Rincon Highway.

Bicyclists can't ride on Highway 101.  So, an alternate accommodation is needed to allow bicyclists (and pedestrians) to have 24/7 access to the Rincon Highway.

My suggestion has been to build a temporary ramp and bridge for bikes and peds to walk over the railroad tracks.  Maybe you have a better idea.

This is your chance to hear what Caltrans is proposing and ask questions.  Please share this notice with others.
