Hi CVC'ers: Advance announcement of an added ride to our traditional Tues. PM Daylight Savings Time rides. Starting on Tuesday, 3-12-13 we will offer THREE Tues. PM rides - from the same Sprouts/Citibank parking lot start location: ( NE Corner of Westlake Blvd. & Hampshire/Agoura Rd.'s in Westlake) 1) 5:15pm Orange Ride : Dale Smith Leader Rock Store adding Upper Encinal Canyon ( when daylight permits) 2) 5:30pm Red Ride : Jim Doane Leader Rock Store adding Upper Encinal Canyon ( when daylight permits) - or Upper Encinal can be ridden immediately depending on the quality of your headlight Then.... a NEW ride for this year...... 3) 5:30 pm Racer Training Ride : Jonathan Woodbury Leader Along with the CVC Race Team, Club Member "Stravaites" & Guest riders Guest riders ( non members) are always welcome but will be required to sign the Club Liability waiver. Jonathan has proposed various start locations for his Tues. Racer rides each month: First Tuesday: Rock Store. Second Tuesday: Up Decker to Coast and back (e.g., Up Decker, down and back up Mulholland followed by a couple lake laps (if time permits) w/sprints & speed work for the non-climbers. Third Tuesday Start earlier and do Piuma or Stunt, Meet at Saddle Peak, and head back as a pack. (Or park at Mulholland and Las V and meet group there.) Fourth Tuesday: Rock Store. Fifth Tuesday: Rock Store. Also starting on Thurs. after DST at 5:30pm from Westlake - Thursday, 3-14-13 I propose same route as last year : Around the Lake, up Westlake to Little Sycamore and back 28 miles and 2,000 + climbing I might be able to make it out of work in time every Tues. & Thurs. for my rides, but once we get our group established again, you'll be able to follow the same routes ( for our group at least) every week.
