Hi CVC Club Members and Guests, Our revised G.O. Ride formerly called the Sunday Social Ride is typically 35 to 40 miles long with 2,200 to 4,200 feet of climbing and an average speed of 13 to 15 mph. As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 9:00 AM then splitting into our groups and departing. At the ride start we will announce the regroup locations but as a best practice unless you are following the ride leader it's best have a route sheet and know where the ride is going. Should you decide to deviate the ride course please notify the ride leader to prevent unnecessary or lengthily wait times at regrouping locations. With all of the mumbo jumbo out of the way this Sunday's ride is Grimes Canyon by way of Tierra Rejada Rd. and E. Los Angeles Ave. Returning Reed Rd. bypass, Olsen Rd. to Sunset and Erbs to Hillcrest, Conejo School Rd. back to the ride start. For a detailed map and route slip go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1162266 Please descend the Norwegian Grade single file. Passing on decent is highly discouraged on all non-Red rides. Please remember to announce your intentions and only pass on the left side. Re-grouping locations: Westlake Blvd. and Aveneda De Los Arboles. After the stoplight on Moorpark Rd. at the bottom of Norwegian Grade. A rolling re-group on Grimes Cyn. Final re-group at the top of Read Rd bypass. Suggestions are welcome for water and restrooms. It is mandatory to have and wear a helmet and it is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is valid (check expiration on helmet inner tag, usually good for five years) and in good working condition. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun, safe ride. Things to have: Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop. Tools to perform minor repairs. Chain repair linkage. Inner-tube and inflated device. Cellular phone. Food to replenish energy. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc.. Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere. It should be great riding weather and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, Dale U.S. BANCORP made the following annotations --------------------------------------------------------------------- U.S. Bancorp Investments will not accept buy or sell (including short sale) instructions nor any other instructions regarding a customer's account sent by any electronic mail system.
