HERE ARE OUR WEEKEND RIDES FOR SATURDAY 11-07-2020 / SUNDAY 11-08-2020

Please bring and wear your mask at ride starts, regroups and when entering public areas.

Select your ride and download your route. Bring bicycles supplies, food and drink.

All CVC Non Members must sign a CVC Ride Waiver, no exceptions.

 

THURSDAY AFTERNOON RIDES START THIS WEEK FROM LANDING 3:30PM

Announcing the start date of the afternoon rides! This ride will meet on Thursday afternoons at 3:30 at the Landing for a ride of about 20 miles or so. The shorter the daylight, the shorter the ride, but we still get it done! Come on outside and enjoy a break from the rest of the routine during the week and ride. This is usually a smaller group and we stick together and have fun. The ride routes are dependent on the afternoon weather but include your favorite routes from Sunday Fundays for now. (Hidden Valley, North Ranch, Malibu Lake, Carlisle Canyon, and so on....) The pace is that of a gold+/orange light... and we just go have a good time after work. We leave at 3:30 so I hope to see new faces as well as those that have joined before.

TUESDAY NIGHT MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDES START 11-10-2020 5:30PM

This coming week the CVC 2nd & 4th Tuesday MTB ride will kick off it's winter season. Petros and Kent will be your guides. This week, Tuesday 11/10, we will ride Dos Vientos. We leave the Wendy and Potrero trailhead at 5:30 sharp. Make sure you have your charged lighting system, helmet, water and spares. This is a novice to intermediate ride (not suitable for beginners).

When riding with us:

·      Be cognizant of social distancing. Bring your mask.

·      If you have air quality or other health concerns please err on the side of caution.

·       Ride at your own risk.

·      Wear your helmet, carry ride supplies and be sure your bike is in good working order.

·      Stay in bike lanes, ride single file, double when safe and do not overlap wheels.

·      Descend carefully at a safe distance while looking out for debris and road hazards.

·      Pass slower riders on the left and announce your intentions.

·      Ride predictably and use proper hand signals when changing lanes, turning, slowing and stopping.

·      Respect all traffic rules and the rights of motorized vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians. 

·       

·      Inclement weather policy is safety first. If it is actively raining or the ride route has a wet surface it is our policy to cancel all club rides.

·       

·      Club members may choose to meet and ride in these conditions, however the ride will not be considered an official club ride.

·       

·      We are a rules of the road cycling club.
