This came today to CVC: On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Conejo Open Space Foundation, I'm writing to thank CVC for the generous donation you made to us from your Annual CVC Picnic Ride & Benefit. COSF is the only all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization that (1) raises funds to support open space projects in Conejo Valley (COSCA has 15,000 acres of open space and 151 miles of trails) and (2) provides public education about Conejo open space and its importance to all Conejo citizens. COSF funds help build and maintain trails here in Conejo. COSF also sponsors Spring and Fall Trail Work Days (come out and join us! These are fun days!) and our annual week-long Trails Education Days, which has educated over 40,000 4th and 5th graders about open space and their place in it. If you hike or ride in Conejo, or even if you never use open space but enjoy looking at it - COSF is the organization that helps maintain it and keep it open for all.
