CVC Saturday Gold Ride, August 10, 8:30am
Meeting at the Citibank Parking Lot, Westlake Village, (corner of Westlake Blvd & Agoura Rd)
Route: Piuma (Short Edition) 27 miles, with 2,200' climbing

Hey Gold Riders,

The weather is looking to cool down noticibly by Saturday. Lets take advantage of this and head out towards Piuma. This is the ride introduced six weeks ago. Really nice and well within Gold ride standards. I am recovering from hernia surgery and need to take it easy. Joe Hettinger has volunteered to lead the Gold Ride this Saturday and I will be helping Beth with a special short, flat, very easy ride. :-)

Basic Route: Leave Citibank towards Agoura. Juan Bautista Park, Las Virgenes to Mulholland, Left on Mulholland to Cold Canyon, down Cold Canyon to Piuma, Las Virgenes again, Muholland, Cornell, Agoura Rd and back to the finish.

The Gold Ride is an intermediate recreational ride, 30 to 40 miles in length with an average pace of 14 mph. It is not a "no drop" ride but as always let's try to stick together as much as possible. If you are new to CVC or just trying us out please let me know before we start.

Remember to park in the area along Westlake Blvd (between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we do not respect the requests of the lease tenants we could be asked to park elsewhere.

After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as the Natural Cafe', Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc,.

Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditons; however the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
