CVC GOLD RIDE -- Saturday, January 18, 8:30 AM
Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) for announcements; promptly at 8:30 am, then split into our groups to depart.
Route: Out Agoura and Las Virgenes, up 7 Minute Hill and back Calabasas.
Ride Specs: 34.5 miles, 3378 feet climbing
Ride Notes: We will re-group only on the street in front of De Anza Park so that we all go down Las Virgenes together. Rolling re-group only at King Gillette to be sure everyone gets through the light. Regroup and break at top of 7 Minute Hill but do not congregate in driveway. Last I heard, the water was shut off there, so be sure you have water to last until MacDonalds in Agoura which will be our last stop.
Water & restrooms: MacDonalds at Las Virgenes and Agoura Rd.
Ride leader this week: Cam (805) 217-6659
If you depart from the group ride for whatever reason, please pass along the information to the ride leader.
The Gold Ride is an Intermediate recreational ride, 30+ miles in length and averaging 12-14 mph. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition (check expiration on helmet inner tag) and that your bike is in working condition as well. This is a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). If you get to a regrouping spot and no one is there, consider yourself dropped. As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly and to allow everyone a chance to ride together.
Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Blvd. (between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere. Please feel free to contact me with any questions: (805) 217-6659
