CVC Saturday GOLD Level Ride -- Saturday, September 29th, 8:00 AM

Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) for announcements; promptly at 8:30 am, then split into our groups to depart.


Route:  7 Seven Min. Hill via Cornell & Mulholland; back through Calabasas; lake loop. 35.5 Miles; 3,585 Feet
GOLD PLUS addon: Malibu Lake Loop (+2 Miles).

Water Only: Mile 16.6 (Guardhouse at top of 7 min hill)
Water & Toilets: Mile 25 (McD's at the turn)
Regroups will be...Cornell & Mulholland, Top of 7 min hill, Left at Old Top., McDs, Left onto Lindero.

The Gold Ride is an Intermediate recreational ride, 30-40+ miles in length and averaging 14+ mph. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition (check expiration on helmet inner tag) and that your bike is in working condition as well. This is a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly and to allow everyone a chance to ride together.

 

Things to have:

Helmet !!! - Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop - Tools to perform minor repairs -Chain repair linkage - Inner-tube and pump (or the like) - Cellular phone - Food to replenish energy.


Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.


Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Blvd. (between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere. Remember, if you ride...
