Hi CVC,
As many of you have heard, Win of Win's Wheels is closing his shop and moving up north to be with family. We will truly miss him and are truly thankful for all that he and his wife Timari have done for CVC. They may have touched you personally and helped you get through many mechanical failures, or mishaps, or regular maintenance. And for the club, Win and Timari have hosted a multiple number of club meetings, and provided graciously for silent auctions for our fundraising endeavors. Timari had been our last rep for our previous club kits. Win has also not only hosted our rest stops on our fundraising rides, (Cruisin the Conejo and the Picnic & Benefit Ride), but donated his time to work on bikes along our routes.
On behalf of the club, the board decided to give an engraved frame and picture of CVC to Win. I will try and attach the picture of this gift for Win. It may come out small.
In addition, various members of the cycling community will be saying Good-Bye to Win at Pedals and Pints on Wednesday, August 20th.
Here is the invite:
Come Celebrate Win’s “next chapter!”
As many of you know, after 15 years of serving us in the biking community, Win will be closing Win’s Wheels on August 20th and leaving the area by the end of the month.
Please join us to toast to his NEXT CHAPTER on Wednesday, August 24th, from 5:00-700 PM at Pedals ‘n Pints in Thousand Oaks. Please feel free to spread the word!
Since this is on a Wednesday night, we have opted to postpone the Pub Ride that evening.
Sincerely,
Sheri Leiken
President, CVC
