Dear CVC Members, It is time! We need everyone to get on the ball and register for our annual Picnic & Benefit ride. This is what CVC is all about. Promoting cycling to the youth. And OUR Picnic and benefit ride is where we get our charitable funding! Come be a part of this great event! Many of you have not seen this event in action, but it is filled with fun! We will have a silent auction, a food truck, a beer garden, and more, all for YOU! But time is of the essence and we need to start purchasing, so will need a full count. I want you to check out this picture. This is a lovely high school student. She lost everything. Her home, her school and her beloved bike along with all of her belongings. With prior funds, we were able to purchase a bike for her when her family could not. She cried with excitement. Literally tears running down her eyes. It was such a special moment. She asked, "Why would strangers help me out to get a bike?" Because we are a cycling community and a compassionate club. Funds for this were made through CVC member EVENTS. These young students have been completely qualified and vetted by the schools. Verification of losses and needs are there.
