CVC Saturday GOLD Level Ride -- Saturday July 28st 8:30 AM

Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) for announcements; promptly at 8:30 am, then split into our groups to depart.


Please ensure you are hydrating and keeping your energy level high during the ride. The weather will be warmer than usual.


Route: Dos Vientos and North Ranch w/ a Hillcrest-School Road ext back. 38.1 miles, 3,346 Feet

Water & Toilets: Mile 7.5 (Fire Station)
Water & Toilets: Mile 17.3 (Dos Vientos Park)
Water & Toilets: Mile 25.2 (The Trailhead on Greenmeadow multi use path)
 Regroups will be... Fire Station, Dos Vientos Park, Greenmeadow turn, Rancho Turn, Las Flores Turn

The Gold Ride is an Intermediate recreational ride, 30-40+ miles in length and averaging 14 mph. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition (check expiration on helmet inner tag). Please make sure your bike is in working condition as well. This is a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly to allow everyone a chance to ride together.

 

Things to have:

Helmet !!! - Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop - Tools to perform minor repairs -Chain repair linkage - Inner-tube and pump (or the like) - Cellular phone - Food to replenish energy.


Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.

After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc..


Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Blvd. (between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere. Remember, if you ride...
