CVC PURPLE RIDE - Saturday February 22nd, 8:30 a.m. Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) for announcements; promptly at 8:30 am, then split into our groups to depart. Ride leader/s for this ride will be: Bill Sietsema Route: Cronies Breakfast Ride; 21.9 miles; 1330 feet We're going to try something new for this ride. We'll ride from Westlake to Newbury Park where we can take a break at Cronies Sports Grill where they are having a fundraiser for the Widows, Orphans, and Assistance Fund sponsored by the Ventura County Fire Department. Then we'll head back to Westlake Village. If anyone doesn't want the break at Cronies, we can split up the group for the return trip. The fund raiser is not a club event. Any purchases at Cronies are purely voluntary. Route maps will be provided. Bring a lock for your bike if you want to stop at the grill for breakfast. Average distance is less than 25 miles at a pace of less than 12 MPH. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition. This is a "no drop ride" however, please try to stay together. As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly to allow everyone a chance to ride together. Ride note: If you leave the ride for any reason, please pass along the information to the ride leader so that we don't wait at the next re-grouping. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride.
