Let's ride a reverse direction on sections of a familiar route.
On last week's Red Ride we were pleased to see some significant portions of Yerba Buena
west of the top of the world have been paved - so the descent from there has some smooth sections.

Route: Westlake to Malibou Lake-Rock Store-Mulholland-Little Sycamore- descend Yerba
to Cothrin-Pacific View-descend Deer Creek to PCH - up Decker Canyon - back down
Westlake Blvd. to around the lake - back to start

53.5 Miles

   6,990 approx.feet of climbing ( per RWGPS which is usually high)

Re-group spots:

1) Top of Rock Store climb... then...
         Water: ride over to Calimigos Ranch driveway- rusty horses sculpture
          Restrooms: Rocky Oaks park across PCH from Calimigos Ranch

2) Top of Yerba Buena - "Party Rock" before Little Sycamore descent
3) Leo Carrillo Campground ( on PCH)
4) Fire Station at top of Decker - near Lechusa/Encinal intersection

Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel the official club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
