Hi CVC Members and Guests, Our revised G.O. Ride formerly called the Sunday Social Ride is typically 35 to 40 miles long with 2,200 to 4,200 feet of climbing and an average speed of 13 to 15 mph. As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 9:00 AM then splitting into our groups and departing. This Sunday's Ride is the Chatsworth Reservoir Loop about 43 miles and 2250 feet of climbing. Here is the GPS Link: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/956667 At the ride start we will announce the regroup locations but as a best practice unless you are following the ride leader it's best have a route sheet and know where the ride is going. Should you decide to deviate the ride course please notify the ride leader to prevent unnecessary or lengthily wait times at regrouping locations. This is a "drop ride" meaning that if you can't keep up with the group, and/or catch up within the requisite 5 min. re-group times - you are "on your own" to know the route from previous knowledge or by following the route slip. It is possible and/or probable that members can assist others with mechanical & other rider emergencies along the route however. Our re-group spots are meant to allow a short break & a chance for riders to catch up so that the group can ride together as much as is possible.
