Hi CVC'rs

Lets get out and ride some dirt...Probably not going to rain this week (last week would have been fine...oh well).

I want to keep the pace at (for lack of a better description, and I know my audience) a gold level. I'm shooting for mostly fire roads, and fun, but not overly technical single track. This is not a beginners ride, but will be doable for most anyone with MTB experience. I will keep the riding to about 1.5 hours so we will have no problem finishing before dark. Again, this is a fun ride, we will not be hammering.

This week lets ride around the Dos Vientos area. We will meet at the Rancho Portrero Trailhead  parking lot on Portrero Rd in Newbury Park (just West of the Rocking K horse rentals/stables).

This ride is around 10 miles and is pretty, rolling terrain mixed with a bit of the neighborhood streets (to connect things up), and a few fun climbs.

Be ready to ride at 5:30PM

My goal is to have fun and introduce some of you the many fun areas we have to ride around here...and learn of a few from y"all too.

As with all CVC rides, helmets are mandatory. Make sure your bike is prepped, and be sure to have plenty of water.
