When riding with the CVC, you MUST:

· on marked bike lanes, ride no more than two side-by-side; single file otherwise. No 3-4 abreast at any time

· make sure your bike is in good working order

· pass slower cyclists on the left

· signal when changing lanes

· avoid bunching up, which increases the risk of accidents

· respect traffic laws and the rights of motor vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians

· remind others to be safe

· descend carefully and look out for debris, potholes or slick spots
