Hi all!
Wow, looks like we get a weekend of warm sunshine, and with the time change even more rides to choose from next week.
First up, we have our away ride on Saturday that starts in Ventura and takes in Lake Casitas, Carpenteria, and a beautiful along-the-coast return. This is a 'can't miss it' ride. Hope to see you there flying the CVC colors!

Now for the facts, just the facts.
Saturday: 9am at the Mission Park parking lot
Red-Jerry Scott will lead the Crimson Crushers for the away ride
Gary Silver takes over the local ride, 8:30 at Sprout's parking lot
Orange-Jim Doane leads the Mighty O-Crew on the away ride
Local ride will be handled by the group, 8:30 at Sprout's parking lot
Gold-Cam will point the 24 Karats around Lake Casitas for the away ride.
Local ride will be handled by the group, 8:30 at Sprout's parking lot
Purple-Bill Sietsema will lead Fuchsia Force up to Lake Casitas and back for the away ride
Local ride will be handled by the group, 8:30 at Sprout's parking lot
Sunday: 9am at Sprout's parking lot
G.O. Ride-Dale Smith will spearhead the Gorangies around Tapo Canyon.
Social Ride-Henry Montalvo will lead the Friendly Folk out to Canada Park and back up Erbes.
Tuesday:
Red/Orange-5:15pm-Dale Smith forwards the group up Rock Store
Racer Ride-5:30pm-Jonathan Woodbury starts the Clip In and Go-Go's for a Rock Store 'n more ride.
MTB Ride-5:30pm-Kent Koral will help lead the Dirt Devils. Location and route TBA. Check your emails for announcement early in the week.
Wednesday: 3:45pm at The Landing parking lot
Landing Ride-Sheri Leiken will lead the Mid-Week Wonders out Hidden Valley and back. Check your emails for any changes early in the week.
Thursday: 5:30pm
MTB Ride-Location and route TBA. Check your emails for announcement early in the week.
SAFE CYCLING TIP OF THE WEEK: In a group riding two by two, and you are riding the outside line with nobody to the right, do the folks behind you a solid and slide over towards the gutter. If someone wants to pass you, they then don't have to endanger themselves by riding outside of the bike lane. It's always a good habit to get into "riding the gutter" even when going solo. There will always be someone jamming along behind you at some point, and they'll appreciate not having to check over their shoulder for traffic and yell, "On your left!".

Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Blvd. (between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhe
