CVC Saturday Orange Level Ride -- Saturday June 9th 8:30 AM Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Westlake to PCH Via Potrero and returning on Encinal a beautiful day to ride the coast. Weather forecast is for 81 Deg., at the start the temperature should be in the mid 60 Deg. Hi Everyone, On Saturday June 9th. starting at 8:30 AM we are riding through Hidden Valley down Potrero to PCH and returning on Encinal Canyon a perfect day for a coastal route. Please use the restroom before departing. For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/781859 Re-groups: Channel Island University Sycamore Cove Beach for Restroom and Water: Note: those preferring to continue can stop at Leo Cabrillo, Beach Side just south of Mulholland, for restroom and water. As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 8:30AM then splitting into our groups and departing. The Orange Ride is an Intermediate/advanced recreational ride, 40-60 miles in length.It is mandatory to have and ware a helmet and it is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is valid (check expiration on helmet inner tag, usually good for five years) and in good working condition. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun, safe ride. Things to have: Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop. Tools to perform minor repairs. Chain repair linkage. Inner-tube and inflated device. Cellular phone. Food to replenish energy. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the rideroute has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc.. Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market.
