This is the 2nd Sat. of the month and is our club's traditional Away Ride Saturday.
Since a substantial number of CVC'ers are riding next Saturday's ( 8-20th) "Cool Breeze Century" ride in Ventura,
we've decided to make that the Club's August Away Ride:

We can discuss offerring a group start time for the Double Metric, Century, Metric, etc. for those that
desire to ride as a CVC member group for each/either of these rides.

For THIS Saturday's CVC Red Ride:
The weather forecast is calling for inland temps in the low 90's so let's head out to the Coast
with a Rock Store & Encinal Canyon loop first.

Saturday, August 13th 8:30am
CVC RED Ride - (Citibank Parking lot )
(NE corner Agoura Road & Westlake Blvd.,Westlake Village)

Westlake Village-Rock Store- Encinal (Upper & Lower) Canyons- PCH-Yerba Buena-Mulholland-Westlake

Ride over to Peter Strauss Ranch (1st re-group spot: water- restrooms)
then up Mulholland Hwy - Rock Store Climb: ( 2nd re-group spot )

From top of Rock Store continue on Mulholland Hwy (by Malibu Wines)
-descend Upper Encinal Canyon & back up to Lechusa Rd.
and then turn left down Lower Encinal Canyon to PCH

Ride West on PCH to Leo Carrillo campground ( 3rd re-group spot)

Continue West on PCH to Neptune's Net/Yerba Buena Rd. - ride to top ( 4th re-group spot)

Down Little Sycamore to Mulholland -( going East)

Descend Decker Canyon/Westlake Blvd. to finish .

After ride coffee & socializing - at the Natural Cafe' patio or the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

See you at 8:30am at the Westlake Citibank Parking lot
