CVC PURPLE AWAY RIDE – Saturday March 8th, 9:00 a.m.
Meeting at the Mission Park parking lot** in Ventura promptly at 9:00 am, then split you’re your groups for departure. Note that there is limited parking in the Mission Park lot but you can park in a nearby location and ride your bike to the starting point.

Note that there is also a local ride this week, starting from the usual Westlake Village location and riding to Hidden Valley and back. This is the subject of a separate announcement.
The Purple Ride is an entry level ride - no one is dropped; however, if you are not planning on completing the route please inform the ride leader. Average distance is 20 to 25 miles at a pace of less than 12 MPH. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition. This is a "no drop ride" however, please try to stay together. As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly to allow everyone a chance to ride together.
Ride note: If you leave the ride for any reason, please pass along the information to the ride leader so that we don't wait at the next re-grouping.
Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.

· Northbound 101 Freeway to the California St. exit
· Bear right at top of off-ramp
· Go straight through 1st traffic light
· Turn Left at Santa Clara St. (next intersection)
· Drive West for approximately 1/2 to 3/4 mile to Mission Park Parking Lot on right side of Santa Clara St.
