CVC RIDE PREVIEW July 4-July 12 CVC Kit Day this Saturday Ride while flying the club colors! -UPCOMING- Coastal Coffee Ride-Saturday, July 12 We're in the Tour de France mood and want to go a little European, so we'll do a nice ride along the coast from Leo Carrillo to Ventura and stop for coffee and snacks on the way back at the cyclist friendly Sandbox Coffeehouse. For you data driven souls, that'll add 15-20 extra minutes to the ride but, hey, c'est la vie! So clear your calendars and get those "honey do's" done so we can all enjoy another great day in the saddle. It's a little more than Metric Century and virtually flat, so you can do as little or as much as you want. More details as the date approaches. -RIDES FOR THIS WEEK- Please familiarize yourselves with a posted route beforehand. The ride leaders can't be everywhere and we don't want anyone lost. Friday, July 4th: 9am at The Landing parking lot “Stars ’n Stripes ’n Bikes Ride”—Let’s burn a few calories before we fire up the barby! Lots of options for those wanting more mileage. For all levels, this is a “No Drop” ride, no one left behind. See you there! Saturday: 8:30am at The Landing parking lot Red, Orange, Gold-Leaders: Jerry Scott, Jim Doane, Cam Young This will be a combo ride for all three levels to ride together with alternatives for returning. The base route will be Rock Store via Cornell. From there, riders will have three choices: Stay on Mulholland and return to Westlake, or, go upper Encinal, and then again choose to return to Westlake, or, descend via Encinal to the coast, stopping at Leo Carrillo for water/restrooms.
