Hi Gold Riders,
There needs to be a change in the Ride for Saturday. I received an
email last night late that the Rock Store climb may be closed. Drove
up the Rock Store climb this morning on the way to work. It is being
worked on and subject to all traffic being stopped at random times
during the day. There is no info on whether this is only for today
or when it stops. Searched Cal Trans, CHP, LA and Ventura Counties
for info but found none on what is going on. There are signs out at
the bottom and top stating "Road work ahead" and "Be prepared to
stop".
Cornell is also being worked on today. Almost all of Cornell is
closing one lane or the other with all traffic being escorted. This
was from the drive this morning while checking out the Rock Store
climb.
With all this lets change the ride to Seven Minute Hill.
CVC Saturday Gold Ride, June 18, 8:30am

The Gold ride is an intermediate recreational
ride, 30 to 40 miles in length with an average
pace of 14+ mph. It is not a "no drop" ride but as
always let's try to stick together as much as
possible.
Please
remember to park in the area along Westlake
Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle)
and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If
we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants,
we could be asked to park elsewhere.
After
the ride, please join us at one of the many
refueling options available at the finish such as
Natural Cafe', Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts
Market, etc..
Inclement weather policy: In the
interest of safety, whenever it is either actively
raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our
club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may
still choose to meet and ride in these conditions;
however, the ride will not be considered an official
club ride.
See you Saturday!

CVC Gold Ride Leader
